A little while back I did a video comparing YouTube TV to Hulu Live TV and it was a close battle. However, since that video went live YouTube TV made some HUGE changes that have made it, in my opinion, the best cord cutting option on the market.
Since moving to YouTube TV I’ve never once looked back. So if you are thinking of making the switch, this video is going to cover everything you need to know about YouTube TV and if it’s the right decision for you.

You chose a pretty stupid heavy notched phone to watch those videos mate :D
*This noth on this Pixel phone looks outrages bro* ...
Better go buy something more practical.
For movies I recommend only 21:9 aspects ratios.
Sport and news channels are mostly what I watch and even then maybe two or three hours a week, I'm really a youtube junky commercials and all. So forty bucks or so a month of TV is a way too much for a wasteland of the dribble.
👨💻$40 on top of $70 a month = $110 a month just to watch TV that's why i got the NBN on $ in OZ 🦘🐨 so i didn't have to watch TV
let alone chitty cable 😳🤷♂️ no thanks tv is boring as watching paint dry
I love my you tube tv channels. It's like I never left cable. I get all the channels I had with cable plus more. Very simple to set up, and this is my 3rd month using it. More money in my pocket now not the cable company.
i see everyone complaining about increases and not being cost effective but even with the current 49.99 price tag i still will be saving over 50.00 dollars a month(over cable ) . I am still in the process of getting this service as my new fire tv cube won't be here till this friday , but with what i have seen on this video , we are not only getting a better service than all the other's , but more channels and better options for storage and recording as well as how many people can be on one account ! Thanks for the info!
Kool and clear cut video thnx... I have ah question..my son has had issues logging in your our xfinity network even with all the passwords and still finds ah way to buy videos upto 50 dollars so we ended up canceling cable altogether....now were down to roku...my ? Is this protected from family members logging into and buying or not I'm thinking on getting this but I'm still sketching about going futher..... need help ASAP thnx
Thank you so much. That is the best explanation for YouTube TV I have ever seen, I've been toying with the idea of cancelingall my other subscriptions and I believe this is truly sold it for me I'll be talking with my family tonight about switching over and canceling all other subscriptions this was great .. Thank you again
@Guy Seventysix well on my business channel, the ads are how I get paid, even if a user blocks them. I do reviews and tutorials for gaming. Ad-blocking is basically illegal for the internet and I wouldn't be able to give out such info. But they're out there for sure. Think and look a lil harder, lol. It's not rocket science.
@Brandon Hassler I was just saying it's funny how we want bigger TVs....... Yet these crap google owned companies try to sell YouTube for subscription (which YouTube is a cellphone/tablet app). Nobody with a brain is paying for YouTube, YouTube red, YouTube music, etc. Videos are free, and there are now many sites better than YouTube that don't charge. They may have ads, but we have ad-blockers for this. I haven't seen an ad on YouTube in over a year.
👨💻NO THANKS 🥵 youtube no tv i payed near $1k to get the NBN on here july 2018 because TV Sucks so bad I Started To CLIMB WALLS🥵
If i find a tv series i download it S1-S3 etc when avail i had a quick look at youtube channels & yes there playing the Same old replays in history channels you can watch in youtube anyway so ? anyway 🤷♂️🦘👍
I’m in the military and can never view games from my hometown teams. Could I input my hometown zip to get access to those game or will I continue to get regional restrictions due to location identification from my devices?
Just one problem with YTTV, some shows in the library don’t record to the end of the program, this is very annoying.
I had Verizon Fios internet, tv & phone, by losing the last two I am saving $70 a month.
Wonder if I can do this to save money, we are on SSDI so ever little bit help Keep you Tube TV DVR service during the Season when the shows are new like starting this week keep You Tube TV, Then during the summer when all are re-runs cancel it and then pick it up again next year, During the time the shows are on Re-Runs we watch more netflix and hulu then regular TV that will save about 6 months of paying for it
Just got it, Was going to use Philo for 21.95 but no local channels, wife complained so we got this told wife she is going to have to pay half of it.
So far like it, DVR is a lot easier to use then Philo, Just hate it does not have the History Channel so going to have to do philo about every 4 months to see what is going on on the history channel, not keeping it all the time for 1 channel
I have Dish’s Premium (250 Top Channels and my local) package. I now receive a loyal customer discount but no “YouTube” app is on my TV. I have YouTube Premium on my tablet and iPhone but by me being a disabled, homebound artist, I need to be on YouTube literally all day. Being able to watch my art shows and classes by looking up at my 42 inch flatscreen, as opposed to my 10” tablet, would be so much more comfortable and convenient for a “starving artist”!
Needless to say, by the end of the day my back and neck are killing me! So... I don’t understand why I don’t have a YouTube app on my TV. Can you please help me with what I can do? Thank you,
Disable due to Parkinson, know how you feel about being home bound most of the time, TV and internet is my only source of entertainment do have a few hobbies that are free like gardening and fishing, but I would just hate it only having local channels to watch
To bad you do not have packages that people can get, say we just want the local channels and 4 or 5 channels charge $30.00 for it then another package add on for $40.00 and so on a lot of them channels we do not never bother with
Was paying $166 cable and internet was going up to $250.00 so kept Internet $70.00 if I get this for $50.00 brings my bill up to $120.00 keeping netflix $7,00 $127.00 still saving around $40 and want have to worry about the cable and can take TV with me
Disable due to Parkinson, I watch lot of TV tried Philo but they do not have local stations do not want to install antannas run cords, buy recording equipment ect, so going to get You Tube TV history channel the only one I miss, So will pick up Philo about every 4 months and catch up on my shows on it
@altha 2014 I was paying 174.00 for Direct TV and had nothing but channels I never watched. The youtube tv was ? 50 (I just started and haven't been charged the full amount yet) and includes the locals and most of the channels I do watch.
Blair Somberg nope. You have to enter your location when you first sign up and that determines your local market. Also if your home Team is on ESPN and not sold out the stream is unavailable. Today I have 2 early games on YouTube TV and 3 on Fios. It isn’t 1080P on the fire stick and the sound is not 5.1
I canceled but still on the free trial.
Trying it free today but already to many commercials, I mean come on $54.99 with tax and paying for commercials. Will unsubscribe. I understand that live tv has commercials but when you go to watch a movie there are commercials forget it.
Not for me
I've tried it for a month plus and am cancelling. Because:
1) I seldom use it for viewing on mobile devices where low resolution is seldom noticed.
2) Resolution is 720P a lot. I really don't like "blury" video on a 60" 4K tv.
3) Most of the channels are of zero interest,
4) Priced too high for he limited channels I watch.
If it works for you wonderful! Not for me though.
The essentially free DVR service is huge. I am paying big bucks for Fios DVR services on 3 devices. Don't forget, you don't pay all of the taxes on your cable bill. I am paying $20 for all the fees and taxes. I am figuring I will save $175 a month, sure I have fewer channels and got rid of the movie channels but I can always see most of this stuff eventually through Netflix. The other benefit is I can upgrade my internet to the Gigabit speed which is likely overkill but I can do it and still save the $175 per month.
