I first discovered Rammstein in 1996 Du Hast... like everyone else I guess...
I'm a Sydney Boy... Europe was a huge thing back then... first trip OS... Since then.. Been all over the place... but Rammstein....
I....was there to watch the filming of Live Aus Berlin in 1998 whilst in Europe visiting relatives...Was easy....bought tickets..with relatives.....was cheap...lets have some fun.... frock this shit out... *** Show starts...*** . well Fuck Me wasn't that a show to remember for the rest of my life...!!! Holy mofohellacrikeyf*ck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The absolute perfect place on the planet to be, at that time.... The most true to their beliefs band that has ever existed,, (and original in lineup... just sayin')
As a no-body 45 year old..ATM... I'll call it. Rammstein is by far ...one if not the most iconic bands of the last 30 years.... each album..a wonderful story... yet... they last few releases.... for those that care to translate to english...especially the last few singles,.. such a painful tale of where Germany is headed.. and in this day... has become.
I hope that all of you fans out there share my love for Rammstein, Let them know how much you love them...!!!
It's Rammstein. What other reason do you need? When I was In high school up late one night watch MTV(when it was actually Music Television). I caught them playing and Guess what song it was?
We all remember that song shouldn't be that hard to guess.
I am exactly THREE DAYS older than Till Lindemann and I never heard of Rammstein until a few weeks ago...I LOVE the energy of the music and I understand the need for expression of our darker sides, but there is a real danger in younger folks listening to this kind of music and not getting that a lot of it is tongue-in-cheek...and I LAUGHED OUT LOUD when I read the lyrics to Steh Auf in English....ice cream and lemonade, going to the circus....maybe they should write a metal opera a la Bohemian Rhapsody and start people getting PAST the bloody Second World War...we all need NEW stories, or maybe to go back to ancient stories...it sounds like EVERYBODY is sad and missing being loved
Sometimes, not understanding the lyrics makes it better.
I couldn't disagree more. Rammstein sings about some tough issues and are politically engaged in many of their songs as well. Now you can enjoy a song in a foreign language, but not understanding what the song is really about doesn't make it better. Knowing what it's about makes it so much better. Even if the lyrics can be meaningful or meaningless, it lets you know what emotion the artists want you to he feeling when you are listening to their song.
Edit: typo in the first sentence
Played two times in Norrköping...... and lived they are quite Potent with a large penis bubbel gun to ride on.
Best live dvd...... how about a roman teater in south France and get the audiance to sing a few songs in german. 😎
Dude they have great fucking riffs, Till Lindemann has a very unique voice. It is unmistakable. Flake adds an entire new dimension to the music at times adding classical and pop music elements to the music. And on top of that, the lyrics are very clever. Full of double meanings, humor, and they sound so fucking good live. This band seriously sounds absolutely amazing live. It’s nothing like what the record sounds like. Even when they play next to some of the biggest bands, you can hear how Goodman good they sound live. They have been together for 25 years, they have a chemistry that is unmatched by any other band in my opinion. That’s why they can make very simple music that is absolutely amazing and completely unique.
I almost believed you until you try to name their songs. at that point, I know someone else wrote it for their best sounding available intern. Hairate mich= HI-Rah- Tuh-Mish Hi Hi Hi. Keep going anyway
I traveled with Till to 3 cities in the early 2000s. He's really nice and well behaved. I wanted him to pull my hair and he wouldn't even do it. He's not into S and M and he admitted that the naughty stuff they do is mostly for show. They were also listening to Moby.
Not complaining though. It was nice to see.
3:22 please know that some lyric sites are wrong. *kein lust* just uses the words kein = the word *no* following up with something you're lacking in this case *lust* which is desire in english.
He is actually saying *no desire* as in having no desire to continue making music if I remember the rest of the lyrics correctly.
