Описание:There are a few critical mistakes that keep good art from getting noticed and good artists from developing a fanbase! I used to sabotage myself terribly, and I don't want you guys makin' the same mistakes.

[How to Get Your Art NOTICED FINALLY]</a>
As an artist I have to say that just draw what ever you want as long as it makes you happy sometimes people are going to be judgmental or jealous of your art but I suggest that you take the good criticism instead of the negative criticism also don't do it for the rest of the world do it for your own self the artist because sometimes like if you just tell the world or people hey what do you think of my art it kinda sounds like you're desperate for attention and being accepted from the world
I post my art on Instagram, and DeviantArt. I remember being happy that people liked my art (even if a lot of them where my friends and family) it still was awesome and sometimes strangers liked my art. It wasn't much but it felt good. I later on started checking other artists and see how cool their art is, at first i was really inspired to get better but then later on I started to feel intimidated. Especially with large followings and all the attention their art would get. I used to post constantly then bit by bit I stopped all together, I just thought what's the point. That was years ago, Now I'm getting back into it.
Call me egotistical but I have no intention of drawing fanart to gain a following. My ultimate goal as an artist is to improve as an artist and draw my own work, not walk in the shadows cast by other artists.
Thank you so much lavender Towne.. I was gonna quit but after I saw your videos (especially this video) I was really inspired and got the courage to take up my sketchbook once again and though it may take time and a lot of practice, my love for art will never die and i will never abandon it again. ☺☺☺
And what about the people who have a lot of subs/followers but never get any reaction when they post ?
I have a YT channel with almost 10k subs, but I barely get 500 views on most of my videos. I think I know why, because I used to do animated memes and I decided to do real and full animations + speedpaints now, and I guess a lot of my subscribers were only interested in my first kind of content.
But hey, what about my DeviantArt ? I keep posting the same kind of stuff, I have like 200 watchers, and most of the time my art doesn't even get 10 favs. I mean, it depends on what I do, some pieces aren't even meant to be liked, but it's very frustrating. I have so many ghost followers, I wish more of them were active.
I've been posting my artworks on IG since 2017 and im still really underrated lol. I get 20-30 plus likes which i dont really mind but it would still be cool and inspire me more to draw alot if i have like followers and supporters hehe
How to make your art become popular: don't do traditional art and if you do you have to have the best camera ever or it'll just be shitty
-me, an artist that's too poor to have a digital method to draw on or a decent camera (I have an old Samsung)
having a lot of followers or fanbase is really hard, its just kind of like, oh yay, I got 80 likes, but its the same people, like when you have 1.3k and only 80 likes from the same people, it gets old, like when am I gonna blow up. But it is nice to get dms like can you teach me how to do this because I think you are amazing and I want to be like you. pros and cons
Not being mean just stating facts.
There is artists that draw amazing drawings better than LavenderTowne (I dont actually know how good she can draw but its off of her art in her videos) an they dont get any attention
Envy ʕ•̫͡•ʕ•̫͡•ʔ people are mainly here for HER though. Her art is cute, it’s not the best technically but it has personality and people online connect with her art and personality.
You could make amazing art but it could be the same old recycled drawings that people just don’t want to see. You gotta do something different
This is really helpful. I'm disabled and have to live off of my art, so learning these things may mean the difference between me being independent or having to live in my parents' basement for the rest of my life.
im gonna get a drawing tablet soon and use an instagram twitter and deviantart for my art i want my art to be out a little bit more because i cant show people outside of the internet because nobody really cares ;-;
It’s really hard for people to follow my work as I don’t like to stick to a certain aesthetic and it’s still amateur at best, but I’m still gonna draw whatever I want to lol
Edit: oof ‘watercolour landscapes next to digital cartoons’ is literally what my Instagram looks like
Artist that post a neat drawing, room for improvement but still great: *10 likes, no comments.*
Same artist post a meme or a lazy photo: *50 or more likes, some comments.*
*Society is often disappointing.*
I know everyone's saying that they don't need an audience on social media because they like their own art and that's what's most important, and they're right, but i'm so glad I found this video. I've been constantly stressed about not gaining a big enough audience for my art and I couldn't even talk to anyone about it because I know how ridiculous it is to worry about something like that. So i'm really happy you made this. Thank you so much, LavenderTowne.
I recently made an art account on Instagram myself (my main acc is my own study aesthetics) and tbh I actually do think at times that my art isn’t good enough compared to the amazing artists I’d see bc even though I have about 20-something followers, I only get maybe 5 likes and it’s usually from close friends and I’m actually pretty okay when drawing traditionally bc I’ve done so for over practically almost 2 decades (I’m 18) but since I only recently started trying digital art and still trying to figure it out (plus it’s hard to do on a small phone but my tablet is in the process of getting fixed) it just kinda feels like my art went from being good to worse instead of improving if that makes sense.
I wish there is an anonymous version of deviant art/tumblr though, I felt trapped when people liked my art for that certain type of art. I'm afraid to shift my style/fandom/theme that might potentially disappoint my regular viewers.
I really want to draw emo stuff next to totally innocent pony stuff next to yaoi r-18 stuff, also realistic fruit drawings and cute anime girls, and stuff them all in one page, meanwhile the other users just view these as different drawings from an anonymous author.
I play this game on Roblox called Royale High (btw im Firetree246 <p) and id say im well off in the game because ive been playing for a while and ive SAVED up (not bought) all of my diamonds. The two things I hate most and get very often on Sunset Island are:
"Please vote me I never win!" "Ill never win my dress is ugly!" (Stuff like that)
"Us newbies never have a chance to win because all you *rich people* keep stealing the votes! You should stop playing the game so we have an opportunity to win!"
I swear this one kid would *not* shut up! It was so annoying and she ruined the game for everyone. Us *"rich people"* dont get the votes because we have all the diamonds, we get them because of the style we have and how we dress, sometimes when the theme is "Haunted", a lime green and neon blue baby clown doesn't look nice, but a well thought out ghost or simple red and black vampire looks really eye pleasing!
Art is hard! i work really hard to draw stuff in between my loads and loads of schoolwork and am even proud of some of my work, instagrams algorithm is a pain, i really hope i can become a bigger artist someday
I'm always thinking, that I'm not good enough, but it motivates me to get better.
I don't have a lot of followers, but still trying to get more, but Instagram is really not the best and I personally don't like selfpromo.
